Collagen is the building block of our body and is the most common protein found in the human body – it makes up over 30% of the body’s proteins. Coconut milk as a tasty energy supplier – completely vegan. The high proportion of medium-chain fatty acids (MKT / MCT) in coconut milk quickly provides the body with energy. The best way to heat the milk is to use a milk frother that adds extra milk froth to your drink. When using vegan milk, the milk foam hood does not work as well as it does with cow’s milk due to the low protein content in the milk.

2. Cold & Shaky (… To Go)
You prefer drinking our Golden Life Guard refreshingly cold or you want to enjoy it on the go, in the office or before the sport. Then take about 5g or 1-2 teaspoons (depending on your taste) from our pack and fill the cocoa blend in a closable milk glass. Add cold milk of your choice. Ingeniously simple milk foam for the perfect latte enjoyment

It is the question of personal taste which milk you prefer to use for your latte drink. But the large selection of milk & vegan milk alternatives make the decision is not easy and not every milk alternative is equally suitable for the preparation of a delicious & pretty milk foam. Therefore, we want to give you some tips on what you can look for a perfect Latte enjoyment.

Basically, a delicious milk foam needs the right combination of protein and fat. The (high) protein content ensures a delicious milk froth during foaming; The fat content in the milk serves primarily as a flavor carrier and the stability of the foam. When heating and frothing you should also make sure that the temperature does not rise above 65 degrees, otherwise the protein molecules coagulate and the foam collapses. As a rule, each cows milk is suitable for a delicious milk froth, but the vegan alternatives are a bit more difficult. Since pure hemp and rice milk do not have a suitable protein-fat composition, they unfortunately fall in advance as candidates for a good milk froth through the grid.

How do I create the best milk foam? Or in other words, how do I bring the most air into the milk? Who of you at home owns a Siebträgermaschine with steam nozzle, which probably has the best conditions for a perfect milk foam. But let’s be honest, who has a portafilter machine in the kitchen, but there are also much simpler and cheaper methods:
01 Whisk: Heat milk, similar to cream, with a whisk until a nice creamy milk froth has formed.
02 Shake in the milk glass: Fill up to half of the sealable milk glass and shake vigorously! Remove lid and heat in microwave. Ready is the warm milk foam.
03 Bar Milk frother: Battery-operated bar frothers use a whisk to foam the milk. All you need is a milk jug or another container in which you want to froth the milk. You can also froth the milk directly in the pot on the stove.
04 Electric milk frothers: It probably does not get any easier and faster. Add milk to the frother, select the temperature level and press the start button – done. There are usually two different whirling attachments on the devices. With cow’s milk we recommend the flat whisk, so that less air is taken in and the milk remains liquid to a good extent. In the Vegan Milk alternatives, the normal whisk with the wire loops has more power and gives you the better result.

Vegan Milk Foam for Beetroot Latte & Co. 

Plant milk differs in taste and consistency in some cases significantly from cow’s milk and a change to plant milk is always a personal matter of taste in the range from nutty to “grainy”.

Soy milk. For a long time the milk substitute for beginners was number one for lack of alternatives and convinces with an excellent milk froth. Due to its vegetable protein content, soy milk is also very popular among fitness foodies and athletes.

Almond milk. The popular milk alternative is delicious & healthy and is very suitable for a nice milk foam. Almond milk in its purest form consists of water and almonds and for the preparation of milk froth is best an electric milk frother. There are also various Barista Editions that optimize the milk foam with additional proteins.

Oat milk. The new “classic” among the plant drinks is relatively tasteless, but can not completely hide its grainy origin. Nevertheless, it fits great to Coffee & Co and delicious muesli. From oatmeal you can produce great milk foam, which is nice and creamy and vergan around the corner.

Cashewmilch. The nutty milk alternative is full of vegetable proteins and produces a delicious & creamy milk foam, which is slightly milder and gentler than the milk foam of almond milk. Incidentally, you get a particularly creamy milk foam result when you mix cashew milk and soy milk 50/50. Give it a try!

Coconut milk. The tasty exotic is becoming increasingly popular and has made a name for itself as a fast source of energy for our body with its high content of medium chain fatty acids (MCT). Even though coconut milk can convince the taste of the whole line, the tropical milk alternative can be foamed relatively poorly and the resulting fine-pored foam dissolves very quickly. Nevertheless, the result tastes pleasantly delicious coconut and gives the latte blends a pleasant freshness.
